Quote it while the urgency is real
Build an estimate with line items, a discount, and tax, tied to the customer, the property, and the job it is for. Call it a quote or an estimate - the wording is a company setting, and it carries through to the email and the approval page.
Quoting from the mobile app is not built yet; today estimates are built in the web app, which works in a phone browser.
Sent their way, approved online
Estimates go out by email with a PDF and a link. The customer opens it, reviews it, and approves or declines it online - no printing, no signing, no "I never got it." Sending estimates by text is on the roadmap and arrives after two-way texting is activated.
Every estimate lives on the customer record, so anyone who picks up the phone knows exactly what was quoted and when.
Approved means billable
An approved estimate converts into a draft invoice with its line items, discount, and tax carried over, ready for the office to review and send. One record flows from quote to invoice to payment - nothing re-entered, nothing lost between systems.
Getting the work itself onto the calendar is a separate step: create or link the job and give it a time on the schedule. Then invoicing and payments picks up from there, with online card payment.
Follow the money you have not won yet
Open estimates are your pipeline. Each one carries its status - draft, sent, approved, declined, converted - so following up becomes a habit instead of an accident.
Close-rate reporting is on the roadmap rather than in reporting today. Platforms with weak quoting make you run this in a spreadsheet; Mittro makes it part of the customer record.
