QuickBooks integration for field service - on the Mittro roadmap
This one is not built yet. Here is what we are building. Your field software and your accounting software should not be two versions of the truth, so Mittro will sync customers, invoices, and payments to QuickBooks Online - what happens in the field landing in the books without anyone typing it twice. Until it ships, invoices and payments are entered in QuickBooks separately; there is no export file for it yet either.
Enter it once, everywhere
The design: a new customer created from a phone call, an invoice generated from a completed job, a card payment taken online - each syncing to QuickBooks on its own. The double-entry ritual, where someone re-keys a week of field invoices into the accounting system, goes away, along with the typos it produced.
Invoicing and payments already work today; this is the connector between them and your books.
Month-end closes clean
Once invoices and payments flow to QuickBooks as they happen, month-end stops being an investigation. No mystery deposits to trace, no invoice in one system that never made it to the other. What Mittro's reporting dashboard says and what QuickBooks says will be the same story, because they come from the same events.
That is the goal. It is not something you can switch on today.
What syncs, and when
The planned scope is the records that matter for clean books: customers, invoices, and the payments against them. New activity flowing to QuickBooks as it happens rather than in a nightly batch, so the books lag the field by minutes, not days.
On first connect it will match your existing QuickBooks customers by name and email instead of creating duplicates, and your historical QuickBooks data will stay exactly where it is - adding to your books, never rewriting them. Anything that cannot sync cleanly gets flagged for review instead of silently dropped. Xero is planned after QuickBooks Online.
Works with QuickBooks Online
QuickBooks Online is the target, since it is the version most service businesses run today. Still on QuickBooks Desktop? Say so when you apply for the founding partner pilot - moving from Desktop to Online is a well-worn path, and we can walk through it with you during onboarding so the switch to Mittro and the switch to Online happen as one project instead of two.
What it will cost
Not decided, because it does not exist yet. The intent is to include it in a plan rather than meter it as a costly add-on the way many platforms treat accounting integrations - but no current plan includes it, and nothing you pay for today covers it. When it ships, pricing is where it will be spelled out.
In the meantime, if accounting sync is the thing you cannot operate without, that is worth knowing before you switch.
